We’ll see… Developed by Cobra Mobile and released by the seemingly-omnipresent Chillingo it takes the basic TD mechanic and throws it into a sexy WW2 setting. However, the life of a games reviewer isn’t all Skyrims and Darknesses and I figured sooner or later I’d have to review one. I, for one, have largely missed the attraction and have spent most of my gaming life actively avoiding the tedium of essentially building a wall and waiting to see if it falls down under duress. The concept of having to place turrets and blockades to stop waves of plodding enemies from destroying your base was popularised years ago by Flash titles like Desktop Tower Defense, and since then has been butchered and reinvented more times than the Lib Dem manifesto. iBomberÆ is a registered trademark and brand name of Cobra Mobile Limited.Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last decade or so, the words ‘tower’ and ‘defence’ in the same sentence will cause you to either get excited or sigh with boredom depending on your stance. you must close the game and restart to pay again with sound. As is, I have to sell a new tower for less than what I bought it for while the game is still paused if I accidentally drop it in the wrong place.Still, a great game I’ll pay for some time to come AND will look at the other iBomber games too!-Please know I reduced 1 star for 1 very annoying bug! If you get texted, called, alarm goes off, they sound will stop working for the remainder of the game. That’s because my big fingers in the iPhone makes it a bit more difficult to look at the range circle while holding a tower.hence I would prefer to pause the game, drop a tower, look, move the tower over a square, look, yeah I like that, hit play and the tower is locked and can’t be moved again. Still long for the original Field Runners with more maps, but this might have just satisfied my needs! Much better setting and then than monkeys throwing darts with 1000 choices and upgrades that are never used (I didn’t keep those long), and this has no in game currency (which I mostly avoid) 1 pay and done.My only request (but certainly has no negative star effect) would be to allow me to move new towers around while the game is paused and then lock them for duration after the game is started again.
